London Publishing Partnership (LPP) is a publishing company, founded in 2010, that specializes in books on economics, business and finance.
As well as publishing under our own LPP imprint, we work with researchers, learned societies, research institutes and think-tanks to help them produce and publish their own books. We can provide the following services.
- Consultancy on editorial, production and marketing strategies for books at the individual-title and whole-programme levels.
- High-quality and speedy production work (copy-editing, typesetting, proofreading, artwork, indexing, project management).
- Management of the printing, order fulfilment and distribution of books – or the production and distribution of eBooks and downloads.
- Tailor-made marketing and publicity campaigns (either for individual publications or for an entire programme).
Our emphasis in all that we do is on quality. We specialize in working with first-rate academic and professional research organizations and we fully understand their concerns.
Richard Baggaley is primarily responsible for our publications strategy. Richard has thirty years of experience in academic and professional publishing, working in senior international editorial management for Open University Press, John Wiley & Sons and Princeton University Press. His key achievements in the subject areas of science and social science have been in developing successful new editorial programmes and in working with individual authors to nurture new books, book series and journals.
Our production expertise comes from Sam Clark and Jon Wainwright. Sam and Jon have been running a successful production company (T&T Productions) since the late 1990s, producing journals and books for many learned societies and publishers, including Princeton University Press, Risk Books and Journals, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the Edinburgh Mathematical Society and the Applied Probability Trust. They have a wealth of experience in dealing directly with authors on a range of production issues, including copy-editing, figure work, design and printing.
Our publicity and media management expertise comes from our associate Romesh Vaitilingam.
Dr Ray Cunningham works with us as a freelance writer, editor, translator and consultant in comparative British-German policy.
For printing, order fulfilment and distribution, we can either place work with traditional offset litho printers or with UK print-on-demand suppliers and distributors.
